How Psychotherapy Can Help

Starting over again is one of the toughest things we can be asked to do. But most of us, at one point in our lives, are forced to do exactly that. Whether you're reeling from the loss of a loved one, the separation from your family, or the severance from a job, taking control of your new circumstances is an important part of turning around your life.

Pandolfi Counseling Associates provides a person-centered, psycho-educational and solution focused counseling and supportive services to individuals and families in search of a new beginning and a new perspective in life. Our goal is to help you to achieve your full potentials to remain active, productive, and self-sufficient. We believe that with proper tools and techniques, you can reach your ultimate goals by guiding you through a series of exercises to help you to identify, sequence and implement the necessary changes and actions that will create a healthier and balanced life.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

Do you feel overwhelmed by your problems? You're not alone. The National Institute of Mental Health reports that more than a quarter of Americans live with depression, anxiety, or another mental health condition each year. Others need assistance to manage weight loss, smoking cessation, or a serious illness. And some seek help coping with relationship woes, job stress, substance abuse, stress, grief, or other issues. These problems can become debilitating if left untreated.

Pandolfi Counseling Associates can help you navigate problems so you can become healthier, more productive, and healthier. We provide collaborative treatment, rooted in a supportive environment and dialogue that encourages you to openly discuss your feelings with someone who is neutral, nonjudgmental, and objective.

Our therapists will help you identify problematic thought patterns and behaviors so that these issues no longer prevent you from feeling your best. When you're done, you will not only have resolved the problems that brought you here, but will have mastered new life skills to cope with whatever arises in the future.
