I understand the apprehension in seeking therapy and counseling. I also understand the importance of obtaining therapy in a safe and non-judgmental environment. I believe that there are times in our lives when we all face a need to seek counsel with someone who is able to relate to your struggles. My approach is to use my experiences in "facing my fears" and anxieties to assist you. I work to provide strategies and goals so you are able to overcome your struggles. My most successful results were with a therapist who allowed me to shed my facades and gave me the opportunity to express myself with open and honest communication and not have a fear of being judged. I hope to help you with some of the strategies and life changes that work, not simply from what is learned in a book or classroom, but from personal experiences as well.

My experience has been with children, adolescents, and the teen population. I have spent time working in the local school districts counseling in the elementary, middle school and high school environment. I utilize methods and techniques to teach positive coping skills so that the students are better able to deal with anger management issues. I am trained in EMDR, Attachment-Focused EMDR, Emotion Focused Couples Therapy and Play Therapy. I utilize these methods with survivors of trauma and those diagnosed with either PTSD or past attachment issues .Using The Gottman Method of Couples Therapy as well as other treatment techniques, couples have experienced success in healing past relationship issues.
