More Info About My Practice

I currently take BCBS and self-pay. My self-pay fee is $100/hour. I do have a sliding scale based on income, for people who do not have Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance.
In addition to my work as a psychotherapist, I also work as a consultant for people who are interested in learning more about recovery-oriented supports and services in Massachusetts and nationally.

My office hours are Tuesdays and Wednesdays during regular workday hours. My last appointment ends at 6:00 pm.

If you are interested in meeting me to discuss therapy services, our first meeting is free of charge.
If you are interested in hiring me as a consultant, however, I charge $75 for each meeting, including the first.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

I decided to become a therapist after experiencing my own struggles with serious depression in my thirties. While I was lucky to have found several mental health clinicians during that time who truly believed in me and in my ability to recover from the depression, I also encountered other clinicians whose pathology-based assertions and prognoses left me feeling disrespected and demoralized.

I chose to enter graduate school in order to provide therapeutic services to others that were based on mutual respect and genuine self-regard so that those in crisis might be able to benefit from an approach to mental health issues that was non-pathologizing and recovery oriented.
