My Approach to Helping

The whole premise behind our therapy is to help people develop the skills to deal with and face the realities of their lives. Therefore they can choose more effectively in their life and relationships in order to achieve happiness and a sense of connectedness to people and communities they belong. Therapy is more than awareness but teaching people how deal with life's realities and intense feelings.

Our therapists have alternatives for people stuck facing problems that seem to have no solutions! The Counselor gives clients new ways to look at the same old problem. How powerful is that! This ability cuts across a wide variety of issues. We are able to help individuals deal with anxiety, sexual performance or anxiety and relationship issues. For couples we help with sexual issues, communication problems and conflict among a few issues.

Imagine a reality where you are not doomed by early childhood trauma or past mistakes or a history of nasty fights in your marriage. Instead imagine the possibility to learn to choose more effectively in order to get what you want.

Therapy is both an art and a science. It is a process based on a very special partnership between the client and the therapist.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

We provide relationship counselling for people to improve the important relationships in their lives whether it is with their spouse, parent, boyfriendgirlfriend or child. We married couples and individuals concerned with sexual aspects of their relationship. I am USA trained Sex therapist and sex hypnotherapist, using hypnotherapy to assist with sexual issues. My focus is on relationship and all issues that affect relationships from sex differences, to anxiety and depression to parenting and divorce.

I also help people navigate the ever changing world of dating. The online dating apps, dating after divorce or dating after a break up can be daunting. I work with people to manage this process.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

It can help you figure out what you want, is what you realistic and then practically help you implement getting what you want. If you want to be calm instead of anxious, if you want to be better at relationship or improve your sex life.

My Role as a Therapist

Our expat counsellor is considered directive, which means she will be working with you closely. It is a very interactive process between you and our therapist that takes the form of the therapist asking you questions to evaluate your behavior, choices and beliefs.

Our therapist has continued her education working with some of the leading professionals in her industries not limited to but including Drs. Judy and John Gottman, Dr. Marty Klien, Dr. Denisa Legac, Lucy Billings Robin to name a few. Our therapist has top training to ensure you maximum support.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

Our society has yet to normalize that mentally healthy people can and do face difficulties. The truth is that Mentally Healthy people seek help from professional individual counsellors and marriage counsellors! Seeking counselling help from an expat counsellor help doesn?????????????????????????????t mean you are unwell, it just means you realize the limitation of your scope of knowledge and competency and you seek out experts to help you get to what you want.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

You want to feel that you can build a relationship with your therapist. Therapy can be challenging and help you face difficulties about yourself and your life. You need to feel you can trust your therapist with issues and ideas that you might otherwise feel judged by. The Therapist is there to help you grow and develop.

Training and qualifications are important as well. Learn to if your therapist does their own supervision, this important to issue they are clean and can help you and don't bring their own issues into therapy

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

The client therapist relationship is a partnership to helping the client achieve the goals they have for counselling. Clients play a huge role in the outcome of their own therapy. Counselling is a partnership. The therapist works with you, not on you. You need to want to get better and our therapist will help with you HOW you get better.

It's best to think of counselling like a technology .To maximize this technology clients will need to decide if they want to invest their time, effort and as well as their money in order to get all the benefits.

In order to bring about positive change, a client will become of aware of their own behaviors, thoughts and choices with the counsellors help. Counselling may not always be comfortable, as with any change, but you do not go it alone, you have your therapist assisting you.

The Duration and Frequency of Therapy

Individual or marriage Counseling doesn't always need to focus on the past nor take a long time. Our expat counsellor focus on the past to understand how it is still affecting you in the present. Only in the present can we make changes. We strive to help you get small positive change in 4 to 6 sessions. In fact, many counseling theories are brief, short-term therapies that focus on the present or future. Your therapist will discuss with your goals and help drive therapy to facilitate you achieving those goals as quickly as possible.
