Seeking help for the personal struggles you are facing takes courage and persistence. I learned this firsthand as a young college student away from home and facing some of my own painful life circumstances. The help I received inspired me to become a therapist and I have felt privileged to do this work ever since. I have over 17 years of experience helping adults and adolescents in individual, family and couples therapy. My approach combines the skilled listening of a well trained ear with caring, warmth and pointed questions, allowing your personal story to unfold. Therapy is intended to be a safe, confidential place for you to deal with painful losses, past hurts, current anxieties, difficult relationships and stubborn habits. I do my best to be as genuine and real as possible while maintaining the boundaries which make a therapeutic relationship unique.
While I have many years of training and experience as a psychotherapist and psychoanalyst, I believe my learning never ends. I continue to be in consultation with esteemed supervisors and colleagues so that I remain up to date on what is new and cutting edge regarding advances in emotional health. I will do my very best to give you the help you need and if there is something I cannot help you with, I am committed to assisting you in finding that help. Please feel free to call me with any questions as you take these courageous first steps toward addressing your struggles.
