My Approach to Helping

Our pathway in the "real" world is cast through the internal lens of perception. Painful life events distort perception and we feel isolated in the grips of depression, fear, anxiety and guilt. We struggle to hide our grief and anger from others as a consequence of our pain. When experienced as children, these distortions can save us in our innocence but as adults, they emerge and impede our attempts to find harmony in the day to day living experience. I believe we have within each of us, the collective gnosis, or knowing, to awaken to the inner witness from which both suffering and joy can be experienced as "One".

I specialize in working with adults raised within the narcissistic family system. Issues that arise from this childhood experience are based around mistrust and lacking a sense of "self", perfectionism and relationship struggles as an adult. In this family system, the child served the parents' emotional needs rather than the parents providing this for their children.

I provide short and long-term psychotherapy and tailor the work to your individual needs. In addition to addressing a wide variety of personal issues, problems, and concerns, such as grief, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and relationship struggles, I also facilitate personal spiritual development which is also known as the individuation process or self-actualization.

More Info About My Practice

There is no charge for the initial 30-minute consultation session.

In regards to fees for ongoing therapy sessions, my standard rate is $90 for 50 minute sessions. However, I attempt to make my services affordable and my fee may be adjusted on the unique financial circumstances of each client I work with beginning at $45. If we discover that we are a good match and plan to begin the therapeutic journey, we will collaboratively decide on a fee that does not burden you financially.

Fees for psychotherapy are paid at the time of appointment.

Currently I do not offer services through any insurance providers. I will supply a Superbill which may used for personally processed claims.
