My Approach to Helping
When people feel overwhelmed by personal life stresses or family relationships and are unsure of what to do or how to react, they typically try to solve the issue as quickly as possible and with a solution they think will work best for the situation. But, when struggles stay the same or problems keep coming back it can seem like an endless cycle. This is the feeling of being stuck.

I enjoy helping people learn how to feel and act differently by using strategies for specific life problems. What I have learned over the course of my work is that people can discover what is interfering with them feeling happy by introducing small change in their life. By initiating only a minor shift, a cascade of changes is possible.

I pride myself on providing a therapeutic environment where people can feel comfortable sharing their successes and struggle without judgment.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

My passion is working with families to help them have more fun, less stress, especially when something difficult is happening like parents feeling their kids are out of control, they are scared about their child's behavior/emotions, or their child has been given a troubling diagnosis and want to be sure they are on the right track for change.

I have the skills to help people who are struggling with weight, find themselves on a constant yo-yo diet, or are still dealing with an ongoing eating disorder and want to find a better solution to move on with life.

I have also helped people in the past who are feeling sad and uncertain how to take the next step to feel better, or someone who tends to worry about most things and feels stuck in fear.
