My Approach to Helping

I feel that people deserve to live their lives happily and in keeping with what's most important to them. My work is very personal and interactive, and I consider my clients to be the expert on their lives, not me. That's why I use the Narrative Approach to therapy; it's fun, respectful, and helps people separate themselves from the problems in their lives. I use questions to help clients develop their stories, and to open up alternative stories that are much more preferential to the client. While this therapy works well with everyone, Narrative Therapy is particularly ideal for those who have been to therapy before and felt like it "didn't work", or and also for children who might be nervous about the process. If you want to try something different, respectful, fun, and gratifying, give Narrative a try! Please visit my website at http://www.peggygold.com for much more info on Narrative, as well as testimonials and information about my practice.
