I am a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I counsel adults, adolescents and families. My office is easily located and you will find it to be comforting and warm. My office hours are by appointment only. Generally, I schedule evening and weekend appointments. My practice style is goal oriented and I practice cognitive behavior therapy. During your initial visit we will be building a rapport and gathering information. Your follow up visits will be interactive and rewarding. As a therapist, I strongly believe in a person's capacity for change and growth. Through a strong therapeutic relationship, clients will have the ability to explore and gain the insight essential to the process of change. With awareness growth is possible and through this process you will feel empowered and confident to make the necessary changes that will enhance your life. My approach utilizes a variety of treatment strategies which are specific to your needs. Together we will develop goals and you will be rewarded with tools necessary when meeting challenges and overcoming obstacles. My experience includes working with adolescents and adults and exploring mal adaptive behaviors. I firmly believe connecting feelings to a particular behavior can bring about understanding, change and growth. I offer a safe, comfortable environment whereby I listen, guide and encourage my clients through the process of self exploration and reflection.
