My Approach to Helping
People become what we treat them as being. I search out the best in every client I see, helping them become more self-aware and more able to get in touch with their strengths, creativity, and capacity to experience joy. We work together, using our relationship as safe place to let feelings come out, hurts to heal, and creative problem-solving to take place. Seeing my clients grow, remember old strengths and find new ones, walking with them for a while on their personal journey and seeing them find relief and happiness in life is my greatest joy and honor as a psychologist. I feel grateful and amazed, even after years of professional practice, every time I get to celebrate someone's healing and success with them. What a great job I have!

More Info About My Practice
I specialize in divorce, step and blended families, and trauma issues and work with young children, mid-childhood, and adolescents, as well as adults and couples. I am especially enjoying my adolescent clients these days and look forward to seeing more of them in the coming year.

Play therapy for young children and parenting help are also things I do a lot of--I enjoy being part of your family "team" to make things better.

Divorce is common but never easy, and I am happy to help my clients find their way through the difficulties and into a new life. I have many years of experience as a divorce specialist, not only as a therapist but as a custody evaluator, CFI, mediator, and expert witness in court.

Emotional abuse is another common but very difficult and painful problem I like to help with. Using EMDR, mind/body methods, and a solid, caring relationship, emotional abuse, and other forms of trauma and abuse can be overcome.

I welcome your questions and hope that I can be of help to you.
