My Approach to Helping
By offering a safe and non-judgmental attitude, I help clients gain insight to the various issues affecting thier life. I help clients examine existing patterns of behaviors, thoughts, feelings, and emotions that have now become ineffective. Clients seek my help for issues that range from self-awareness, relationships, stress, medical illness, and many other relational and self improvement issues. Helping clients learn new or better strategies and solutions, clients can attain desired goals.
One of the goals most people present for seeking therapy is to change patterns of behaviors and thoughts that seem to interfere with daily life and with relationships. Another issues clients seek my help is for the "stressors" stemming from daily life. Stress can overwhelm a person and his/her relationships. Stress also increases once a person is diagnosed with a medical condition. As a "Medical Family Therapist", I can help the person with a medical illness and thier family learn how to cope with the stress that now seems to be infringing in the family/couple system.
