My Approach to Helping

When folks come to see me, the often "plop" down on the sofa and breathe a big sigh. This lets me know they are comfortable and have finally found a place where they can be themselves. My therapy can be described as "conversational" as that is how the process unfolds. Clients know that there is no judgment here, just a trained ear and unconditional acceptance to work through issues and uncover their best selves. Over the years (25+), many members of the same family have been seen in my practice. This is very rewarding and confirms that the work accomplished together is valued. My goal is to provide the same experience and rewarding feeling for you.

I use a "solution focused" approach which means we begin by working in the present and bring in the past as it is relevant to what is going on in your life. Since all people are affected differently by their life's experiences and those seeking help are generally in pain and want relief, working this way is the best of both worlds Clients are treated as I like to be treated, with the utmost respect, authenticity, and focus. I am a provider for BC/BS but am willing to assist you in filing with other insurance if needed. Coaching by phone is available, which is great if you do not wish to travel or you have any time constraints. There is a bit of a different slant to this approach but we can discuss what would work best for you.
