My Approach to Helping

No mountain too high to climb is my motto. My belief is that we all need to help each other find the path that leads us to our dreams and to set realistic goals that are reachable. Much of this is done through building self esteem and confidence. My approach is an eclectic one. I lead the horse to water and offer the opportunity to drink. I am the facilitator helping whomever I am working with to create motivation and energy to find oneself and to achieve their goals. In this process, we learn together what is important and what is necessary to reach the goals. Sometimes it means making major changes. Sometimes it only takes minor changes. Most of the time the tools are somewhere in reach, just needing to be re-directed. What is the most difficult I find for those I work with to understand is it is a slow process and can take a lot of time to change towards the newer direction. I also teach skills such as negotiation, contracting, healthy control, anger management and how to find happiness in a world where everything is changing and whirling past so fast one feels lost, scared and unsure if anything is even reachable or worth spending the time and effort to even try.

More Info About My Practice

Sometimes we explore dreams, artwork, walls, pets, lost or found significant others, universal events such as the full moon and how it all affects who we are and who we want to be. Things that may be controllable and others that are not controllable. Many come to my practice just to see Bailey and Chewie who are an integral part of their visit. The girls (dogs) love to interact and give/get the hugs and pets. Some insurance accepted. Office hours Sunday through Wednesday.
