My Approach to Helping
If you are looking for a therapist, you are likely feeling ready to change something in your life. Congratulations on your bravery. I would love to help. But I'll warn you that my help may seem strange at first. So often we try to get rid of something as a way to make change. Ironically, our work together may not be about removing the unwanted thing, but rather offering it acceptance, understanding, and empathy. This non-judgmental approach to change may feel strange at first, but it can have surprisingly wonderful results.

One resource I am passionate about developing is mindfulness. This is a state of alertness that allows us to track more of what often goes under the radar. It also offers more choice in how we deal with life, and specifically with thoughts, emotions and behavior. My approach to therapy embraces paradox, offers deep empathy, and is influenced by a love for embodiment and the wisdom that comes from waking up to our sensations.
