My Approach to Helping
?Inclusive Counseling provides individual, couples, family, & group therapy regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, etc. All individuals have value and the capacity to create positive change in their own lives. Connecting or 'clicking' with your therapist is essential to therapeutic progress. When both parties are present (an open, connected client and therapist), postive change occurs. I am most effective treating individuals, couples, and families who are struggling with relationship issues, family conflict, coming out and other LGBT related concerns, substance abuse, parenting, grief and loss, and physical, sexual, and emotional abuse.
I advocate a supportive, accepting, and open therapeutic environment for clients to feel comfortable to engage in personal disclosure & growth. Clients, not the therapist, define what is problematic in their lives and what is not. The therapist's role is as a guide or coach, rather than as a parent.
I enjoy people and being part of their transformation from hopelessness to empowerment. I have learned from, and been inspired by, every individual that has walked through my office door. I love what I do! I am here to help and I look forward to sharing your journey with you.?
More Info About My Practice
Your fee depends on the kinds of services you request. You can learn more about fees, methods of payment, and general payment policy on my website. I do not currently accept insurance, as I prefer to not have treatment or diagnosis dictated by insurance companies. I choose to not disclose client information to insurance companies that advocate for their own best interests, rather than those of the client. A sliding fee scale is available for lower income clients. You may also file an out of network provider claim with your insurance company. I will help you with this; just ask!
