My Approach to Helping
My overall approach in therapy is based on the premise that the therapy relationship is a key to meaningful change. My clients often tell me that I have a warm and reassuring presence and that I am not afraid to "be real" and give authentic feedback. My style is integrative meaning that we will use both a practical focus on the behaviors and patterns that may inhibit you as well as explore deep- rooted emotions.

More Info About My Practice
Moving towards what you really value is a serious thing, but that does not mean we always have to be stern-faced in therapy either. I believe in the healing power of humor and appreciate the chance to laugh at life now and again.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

My focus is relationships: whether you are part of a couple that needs help improving your relationship or an individual trying to make sense of the relationships in your life. I use a personable, practical approach that is tailored to you as a unique person.

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

I offer every new client a FREE CONSULTATION SESSION because I understand the importance of finding the right fit between client and therapist. Research has consistently demonstrated that good fit is one of the major factors that predict a successful outcome in therapy. I specialize in helping individuals and couples to successfully navigate transitions in their relationships. Everyone wants satisfying and meaningful relationships, but this can be difficult when you live in a world where you are bombarded with vague or disheartening messages about relationships: communication is “key”, relationships take “a lot of work”, etc. We get no template or instruction manual for relationships. What does the work look like? How do you facilitate real, meaningful communication? I can help.
