My Approach to Helping
I have a very effective private practice in Clovis, California, where I treat adults with psychological, emotional, and behavioral difficulties. In my practice, I assist individuals and family members with making significant, long-lasting personal and interpersonal changes in their lives. Cognitive-Behavioral and Solution-Focused therapies form the foundation of my clinical work. When working with couples, I utilize Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy as well as the valuable teachings of John Gottman, Ph.D., who has over thirty years of research related to couples issues. When addressing anger management issues, I apply the teachings of Matthew McKay, Ph.D. and Peter Rogers. When addressing therapeutic issues related to male victims of sexual abuse, I apply the teachings of Mike Lew and Stephen Grubman-Black.

More Info About My Practice
In addition to my private practice, I have been employed as a psychologist for the past 16 years with a major health organization and am also an independent contractor with another very successful mental health organization. Prior to this, I was employed as a psychologist for several years by the State of California. The office to the private practice I have developed in Clovis, California, is a very comfortable office in my home with a separate entrance through my small courtyard, and all information shared will assuredly remain private and confidential. Sessions are 50-minutes on-the-hour with the exception of the initial intake assessment which is approximately 90 minutes in length. My standard fees are $75.00 for the initial assessment and $60.00 per hour for therapy treatment sessions.
