My Approach to Helping
I believe we all want a sense of well being and centeredness, no matter where we are in our lives or what our circumstances are. Often we come from or are in the midst of contexts, be they familial, ethnic, religious, career based or relational, that outline who we "should" be, and the conflict between who we "should" be and who we authentically are can create internal unrest and uneasiness with ourselves. Often we have lost the ability to listen to and discern our "true" selves. I offer a focused, caring, non-judgmental listening experience, where you and I will listen together for the many direct and indirect ways your real self articulates itself. Our conversations about that material will enable you to reconnect with that part of you, and subsequently help you make more enlightened, conscious choices for your life. I believe that the process of psychotherapy is about reclaiming our lives, regaining our control and choice making capacities, and seeing more clearly our purpose and passions, so that we can live more fully into the lives we were meant to live.
