Depth Hypnosis

Depth Hypnosis integrates some of the most ancient and authentic psychologies, including Shamanism, Buddhism, transpersonal psychology and hypnotherapy, to create a transformation in various areas in a client’s life. This type of therapy was developed by Isa Gucciardi, Ph.D. This form of therapy applies these techniques to a traditional therapeutic model, but does not rely on a specific diagnosis to fully realize the client and presenting issues. Depth hypnosis enrolls the client as an active participant in the discovery process. By doing this, the client realizes their own ability for generating self-healing and identifies the changes they would like to facilitate.

How Does Depth Hypnosis Work?

Depth Hypnosis can provide swift results and can facilitate change on a physical, emotional and spiritual level. This unique and explorative technique shifts the responsibility to the client and fosters a sense of empowerment in him through self-realization and internal wisdom. Through the use of meditation or hypnosis, the client can depart from his own psyche to gain new perspective into his subconscious. This affords both the therapist and the client the opportunity to examine and interpret the issues and obstacles that are presenting an imbalance in his experiences and his life. Often times, the client and the therapist work together to uncover the root of current situations through inner child work, recall of dreams and regressions, to determine the necessary components required to effect change. With this technique, the client gains the skills set to be able to positively relate to their inner self and their world around them.

Issues Depth Hypnosis is Effective in Treating

Depth hypnosis differs radically from suggestion hypnosis or Ericksonian hypnosis as it clearly recognizes the situations that reside at the root of the presenting conflict or issue. In this way, the trauma is brought into the light of day, examined, addressed and released, thus alleviating the resulting symptomatic issues of anxiety, illness, depression, or other imbalances. This form of therapy can be highly effective for the treatment of eating disorders and addictions. Additionally, it has been widely used for the treatment of other conditions relating to physical fatigue, stress, and depression.
