Do you suspect your childhood is still haunting you in relationships, or habits you want to stop repeating?
Find out how much better you can feel!
Women need a therapist who understands the psychology of women. One who can offer you the safety of another woman who gets how hard you can be on yourself. Let's figure out together why you are hurting and how to change what is hurting you. Let me show you how to release yourself from the influence of past relationships (especially childhood ones), and develop the freedom and self-confidence to create a more satisfying, joyful life.
I have been doing psychotherapy as a licensed MFT since 1987. I specialize in women and depression, including healing the self-esteem issues, losses and traumas that often come with depression. About half of my clients identify as LGBTQ, and half as heterosexual; about 1/4 of my practice is women of color. I am also fully trained in EMDR
More Info About My Practice
After decades of creating and collecting self-help techniques for preventing and relieving depression, I wrote "Ending The Blues: A Psychotherapist's Secrets to Living Depression-Free," available through my website. I have tested every technique myself, and teach them to people who suffer from depression. These are the best self-help ways to prevent and relieve depression I have ever found.
I see so many people suffering from some form of depression, that I can usually figure out pretty quickly what is causing it and what will help. Most people feel some relief and hope in the first session. Many people end up wanting to understand and transform themselves at a deep level, and work with me longer term.
I have extensive experience working with lesbian, bisexual, queer, as well as heterosexual women.
I use EMDR for resolving traumas, and I have seen amazing results. Sometimes anxiety, self-defeating beliefs, body-memories of abuse or flashbacks of a traumatic event disappear within a session or two of EMDR.
