My Approach to Helping
How can I be of help? Maybe you can put the answer into words easily, or maybe you know only that something is not right. Whatever your situation, I invite you to come in and talk with me. Because research has shown the therapeutic relationship to be the strongest predictor of treatment outcome, it will be very important to make sure working together feels like a good fit.
I have been in practice for a number of years, worked in a variety of settings, and draw from advanced training in cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment theory, psychodynamic and mindfulness-based practices. I will work with you to figure out what approach might be most useful. Together, we will try to understand what is going on and what might be helpful.
I provide psychotherapy for people who feel depressed or anxious, have eating disorders, body image issues, difficulties in relationships, obsessions, compulsions, or have been traumatized (PTSD). I also offer treatment for new and expectant mothers feeling depressed or anxious and support for all moms adjusting to the joys and challenges of a baby. I offer individual, couple's, group and family therapy.
