My Approach to Helping
Psychological health is vital for a healthy, happy life. A life filled with conflict can create many problems including feelings of anxiety, insecurity, low self-esteem and depression. Relationships will be affected. Experience has taught me that people can learn to reduce and/or cope with conflict, as they create the psychological health they need for the life they want. Therapy helps people change emotional issues into emotional intelligence. In addition, good therapy helps people create the life they want.

Finding a therapist one feels safe with is vital. Moreover, it is important to interview a prospective therapist carefully. You may interview me free of charge. Through my highly sensitive, intuitive and empathetic nature people grow to feel safe with me in a brief amount of time. Facilitation of a person's process is done with deep listening and relevant questions that lead people to discover their inner wisdom. My preferred style of working is humanistic, based in unconditional positive regard. Teaching people how to motivate and empower themselves is another facet of my practice. As a result of this type of work, people's self-esteem improves, depression begins to lift and anxiety subsides.

Many people have negative perceptions of themselves, when in fact; they are stronger, more intelligent, creative and resilient than they know. All it takes is someone who believes in them, to help them recognize their strengths. My naturally optimistic nature, tempered by experience, continues to be renewed as I notice the positive characteristics of the people I work with. It is exciting to watch people as they too, begin to recognize and build on those positive qualities, as a consequence of the work we have done together.
