My Approach to Helping
There are times in our lives when we all struggle with fear and pain of one kind or another. Contacting a therapist can be fear provoking in and of itself. Whether we are struggling with acute trauma or simply feeling challenged by facets of everyday life, we all occasionally long for empathy and guidance. Loss, depression/anxiety, addiction, even normal life transition issues can leave us feeling powerless, frightened and lonely. Often we hesitate to share these feelings with friends or loved ones for fear of being a burden, or worse, being judged.

Therapy can provide a safe and nurturing environment in which we can share our fears and struggles without judgment, a place where we can feel respected and nurtured while learning how to resolve and cope with life's challenges. Years of practice have taught me that every individual who has the courage to take on these struggles and challenges has the potential for healing and growth. Give yourself that gift.

I provide brief and long-term psychotherapy to adolescents, adults, couples and families, as well as group therapy, addressing depression/anxiety, grief/loss/divorce, chemical dependency, relationship and communication issues.
