My Approach to Helping
Amy is a passionate counselor believing positive change is possible at any stage in life. Her approach to therapy offers clients more than just short-term solutions to individual and relational issues. Experiential techniques are used to bridge the gap between the problem-solving part of our brains and the intuitive, emotional part in order to identify the sources of issues, and develop new patterns and skills for handling them.
Individual Counseling Specialties Include:
Anxiety, Trauma/PTSD, Depression, Self-Esteem Issues, Chronic Medical Conditions, Adjustment to Disability, Grief, Workplace Concerns, Anger management, Vocational/Career Counseling, Co-Occurring Mental illness and Substance Abuse Problems, Adult children of Alcoholics, Sexual Issues, Transition to Motherhood, and Veteran/Veteran Spousal Transition Concerns.
Couples/Family Therapy Specialties Include:
Relational issues, Communication difficulties, Parenting Concerns, Foster Care and Adoption Transitions, and Blended Families.
Teen /Child Therapy Specialties Include:
Depression, Anxiety, Trauma/PTSD, Adoption and Foster Care Transition, Parental Separation and Divorce, Peer Relationships, ADD / ADHD, Anger Management, and Behavioral Concerns.

Amy offers affordable self-pay and does not accept insurance at this time. Therefore, clients are not subjected to the constraints of Insurance Companies.
Initial Assessment (90 minutes): $75
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) full session 1.5 hours $75
Individual, Family and Couples Therapy (50 minutes): $60 **sliding scale down to $40 accepted on a case by case basis
