My Approach to Helping
My goal as a therapist is to help you discover the "true" you. We will work together in a positive fashion to help discover the source of the challenges within your life. The goal is to work together to develop creative ways or alternatives to help you to begin again to live a healthier life in turn allowing you to grow to your full potential.
My style of therapy is a creative mix of cognitive, behavioral and reality approaches with a big dose of humor and warmth added into the mix. What does all that mean? The basic issues that bring someone into therapy will impact the type of work which will be complete together within each session.
A person who comes into therapy for feelings of depression will have different goals and challenges verses someone who comes in for grief and loss issues. I believe an effective practice combines intuition and knowledge to create the most ideal solution for you, as an individual. The time spent together will be a journey worth venturing and we will have laughter and opportunity for self-growth and discovery.

One should choose a therapist that they feel comfortable with and allows a comfortable setting to reveal inner thoughts and feelings. Therapy is an open arena for conversation, growth and positive change. One chooses the therapist that allows them to openly work through issues without biases and negative opinions and thoughts.
How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
I am a Kidney-Transplant recipient. I understand the levels of depression and the depth of working through a major change within one's life. I know the faith that something will change and the comfort of talking through my fears. This experience made me a better Therapist.
The Duration and Frequency of Therapy
Therapist is individualized and is different for each person that enters my door. I allow the client to go at a pace that is comfortable for them. I do not determine when the process is over, we determine the time together. I remind the client thatd that growth comes from a change of thoughts, needs and understanding the full learning process.
