Hello! My name is Christina Nanni and I would love the opportunity to work with you! I have been working in the field of psychology for over 20 years in a variety of settings. I am currently self-employed and conduct outpatient sessions out of the privacy of my home office located in West Chester, PA. I have had extensive clinical training during my educational journey with eating issues and substance abuse. My passion is helping people understand how they are getting in their own way of achieving greater happiness and personal fulfillment and guiding them to work towards that in a more productive way. Please feel free to contact me with any questions about my practice and how I can be of service to you!
Sometimes life can get overwhelming, and we need a little help navigating the journey we are on. As a military spouse, I can empathize with just how chaotic and challenging life can be at times. We all have stories and experiences that make us unique. I enjoy helping others navigate their story by coming alongside them to encourage their strengths and share new skills through a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach. I am always honored to walk with others on that journey for however long we work together, collaborating to find the skills, techniques, and solutions that work best for you, both in and outside of session.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with over eight years of experience in the mental health field. I'm passionate about helping individuals navigate depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress (PTSD), trauma, low self-esteem, life transitions, poor coping skills, and chronic stress. My experience working with low-income individuals and families, combined with living with a physical disability, allows me to provide the compassionate guidance and support many clients are seeking.
I help adults heal from complex trauma, PTSD, dissociation, anxiety, and the lasting effects of childhood trauma and adversity. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed by emotional reactivity, relationship difficulties, chronic shame, or a sense of being disconnected from themselves and others. Although they often appear to be coping on the outside, they feel stuck in survival mode internally. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and paced to your individual needs. I believe healing happens in the context of safety, understanding, and self-compassion, not through forcing change before you are ready. Drawing from EMDR, Somatic Experiencing®, parts work, DBT skills, and mindfulness-based approaches, I help clients regulate their nervous system, develop greater emotional stability, deepen self-understanding, and move beyond survival toward a more connected and meaningful life.
