I believe in meeting you where you are in your journey, without judgment, to provide a safe and comfortable space where we can tackle the hard issues together. My goal is to create an environment where you feel supported and empowered to achieve your therapy goals. I am easygoing, yet I hold myself and my clients accountable during our sessions to ensure we make meaningful progress.
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC)
I believe in the intrinsic worth of all human beings. I believe that many people do not see their value because it is overshadowed by the shame caused by their perceptions of who they should be and what they should be achieving. There are many reasons why these distortions exist; but one thing is for certain, it creates a feeling of being a fraud and deep shame. A lot of time and energy is used to counteract this secret shame. I feel that it is important to help teens and adults to become authentic and accepting of their strengths and weaknesses instead of putting our emotional and physical energy in denying and being afraid of our humanness. It is exhausting and paralyzing to be so afraid of our imperfections. I believe there is value in accepting our own humanity. We have to climb off our self imposed pedestal which is secretive and isolating and connect with other human beings without the fear of being discovered a fraud. It is so freeing and meaningful.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 4 years of experience supporting individuals through life transitions, anxiety, grief, mood challenges, trauma, and substance use. I specialize in working with adults who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves, their relationships, or their sense of purpose. Many of my clients come to therapy seeking clarity, healing, and a more grounded sense of self. Together, we work to understand patterns that no longer serve them, build resilience, and cultivate meaningful change.
Cassie is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC). She has eight years of experience in both medical emergency room care and acute psychiatric care. For her, psychiatry was an obvious choice, allowing her to work with families across the lifespan and work closely and collaboratively with people. Cassie utilizes evidence-based treatments such as ketamine-assisted therapy, crisisemergency management, supportive therapy, motivational interviewing (MI), interpersonal therapy (IPT), and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). She manages and treats depression, anxiety, attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), bipolar, posttraumatic stress (PTSD), and women's health issues. Her goal is to alleviate bothersome symptoms and maintain emotional stability and health while monitoring such treatments' effects. Cassie is passionate about the mind-body connection and its impact on one's mental health. At Thriveworks, her role includes medication management, education, therapy, and patient advocacy.

Haymarket therapists use several proven approaches to help clients achieve their goals. Each method offers unique benefits depending on your specific needs and preferences.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps identify and change negative thought patterns that contribute to anxiety and depression. This evidence-based approach is particularly effective for managing work stress and relationship concerns.
Solution-Focused therapy concentrates on building solutions rather than analyzing problems, making it ideal for clients seeking practical strategies for immediate challenges. Many professionals appreciate this goal-oriented approach.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) teaches emotional regulation skills, while Psychodynamic therapy explores unconscious patterns that influence current relationships and behaviors.
Many Haymarket therapists offer specialized services including couples counseling, family therapy, trauma treatment, and support for anxiety disorders. Some practitioners also provide EMDR therapy for trauma recovery.
