What's My Approach to Therapy?
In a world that often asks us to "just get over it," I offer a space where we listen to what your body and your creativity have to say instead. Traditional talk therapy is a powerful tool, but trauma and chronic stress are often stored in the nervous system—places where words alone cannot always reach.
I integrate somatic experiencing with creative arts therapy to help you bridge the gap between your physical sensations and your emotional narrative. Together, we work to move you out of "survival mode," and back into a state of connection, resilience, and ease.
Some areas of specialization:
Chronic stress and burnout: Rewiring a nervous system stuck in "fight, flight, or freeze."
Relational health: Navigating attachment patterns, setting boundaries, and healing from interpersonal trauma.
Difficult life transitions: Finding a sense of "home" within yourself during career shifts, loss, or identity changes.
Complex trauma (complex posttraumatic stress [C-PTSD]): Gently processing deep-seated wounds without overwhelming your system.
I believe that healing isn't about "fixing" what is broken, but about uncovering the inherent wisdom you already possess. Whether we are using movement to release tension, art to visualize an unspoken feeling, or mindfulness to ground your nervous system, our work is collaborative and paced at your comfort level.
