What's My Approach to Therapy?

My practice specializes in supporting individuals navigating the unique challenges of living with ongoing health issues. Through a blend of strength-based positive psychology and narrative therapy, we'll focus on your resilience, helping you rewrite your story to be one of empowerment, not just endurance. You'll gain practical coping skills and tools designed to increase calm and manage daily stressors effectively. Let's work together to help you thrive.

My Practice & Services

Specialized offerings. To complement our counseling services, we are pleased to offer specialized therapeutic experiences:
Movement therapy: Cultivating inner harmony with Qigong. Qigong (pronounced "chee-gung") is an ancient practice that integrates gentle movement, mindful breathing, and focused intention. This powerful mind-body practice can help reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. Improve mood and emotional regulation. Increase body awareness and presence. Boost energy levels and resilience. We incorporate guided Qigong exercises into sessions, offering practical tools for self-regulation that you can utilize anytime, anywhere.

Ecotherapy: Healing in partnership with nature. Ecotherapy—also known as nature-based therapy—recognizes the profound healing potential of connecting with the natural environment. The outdoors can act as a co-therapist, providing perspective, calm, and grounding. Our ecotherapy sessions are seasonal and depend on favorable weather conditions. We utilize local natural settings in the Gresham area (e.g., parks) for "walk-and-talk" therapy or seated mindfulness in nature. Benefits to this approach often help clients feel less "stuck" than traditional office settings, encouraging movement, mindfulness, and a renewed sense of connection to the world around them.

Accessibility and flexibility we primarily offer secure, convenient telehealth appointments across Oregon, allowing you to engage in therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own home.

In-person availability feor clients who prefer face-to-face interaction or wish to participate in local ecotherapy sessions, we offer limited in-person appointments at our Gresham office location (weather permitting for outdoor sessions).
