Bilingual and Bicultural psychotherapy services for Individuals, Children, Families and Couples.
I collaborate with arts and helping professionals on a variety of issues, including: finding your voice in negotiation and relationships, getting creative projects and careers off the ground, identifying what's working in your life--and what's not--and how to change things for the better. I also work with issues around bereavement and loss. My training and approach combines psychodynamic, mindbody and mindfulness aspects. I have expertise in stress management (how to handle the present), trauma recovery (how to integrate the past) and creative breakthroughs and empowerment (how to build a future). When appropriate, I use EMDR, a proven method of symptom relief from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD); meditation and breathing exercises and other techniques. Equally if not more important is how we fit together as a working team. I invite you to consult with me for one or two sessions and see if you'd like to work with me.
My approach to helping you is supportive, non-judgmental, and honest. In order to help, sometimes you need guidance, direction, information, or just a listening ear. I feel it is important to create a safe place in which you feel free to explore your struggles, questions, and give a voice to the reality of your life. With awareness comes the choice to change.

I work collaboratively with clients to empower them to identify and move through the issues that stand between them and the lives they hope to lead. I bring a unique approach that blends evidence-based, solution oriented strategies with acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) techniques to help clients foster connection, community, and meaning. I operate from a strengths based perspective and prioritize a space of unconditional positive regard, empathy, and respect. I am a first-generation Latina fluent in both Spanish and English. I'm looking forward to meeting you!
I am a clinical psychologist with experience treating adolescents & adults, as well as training graduate-level clinical counselors. My specialty, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), is an empirically-supported short-term approach to treat anxiety, panic, phobias, obsessional thoughts, compulsive or unhealthy behaviors, depression, anger, and trauma. CBT strategies can also be useful in the domains of stress management, romantic relationship concerns, family conflict, parenting, self-improvement, goal-setting and performance enhancement. I was trained and mentored directly by Dr. Albert Ellis, the founding father of CBT (Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy). For women seeking therapy, I have also focused on how to most effectively help women with challenges faced throughout the life span, such as: dating, marriage, divorce, emotional disturbance, gender role frustration, parenting, self-image, stress management, career satisfaction and development, leadership roles, and the elusive work-life balance. If you are struggling with any of these issues, I’m here to help! My therapeutic work is based on a collaborative approach and a healthy dose of warmth, acceptance, efficiency, hope, support, and humor. We will work together to set goals and help you develop the tools and strategies to make them a reality. Please contact me for a free phone consultation.
I practice in a Relational psychoanalytic style in which we work together to honestly, creatively and sensitively address whatever issues, conflicts, losses and dysfunctions you may be contending with. With 34 years wide-ranging clinical experience and extensive postgraduate training, my aim is to promote a steady and supportive therapeutic connection between us where all thoughts, feelings, behaviors and other aspects of your unique self may be safely revealed, explored and understood. My areas of specialization include all forms of addictive disorders (alcohol, drugs, sexual compulsivity, eating disorders, gambling), trauma issues and personality disorders as well as depression, grief and loss, LGBTQ issues, chronic medical illness and sexual concerns. Throughout my career, I have worked empathically and effectively with an adult clientele of diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds as well as all sexual and gender identifications. I bring both passion and compassion to my work and welcome the opportunity to share the therapeutic journey with anyone to whom I can be helpful.
I work with people navigating anxiety, trauma, identity, and the weight that builds up when life gets genuinely hard. That includes LGBTQ+ youth and adults, adolescents with disabilities, couples, people of color, and clients who have felt like the system was not built with them in mind. My approach is integrative and strengths-based, with CBT and trauma-informed care at the core, and I show up with genuine empathy and honest directness. I offer clients a safe space to share their most vulnerable moments, free of judgment, to hone their skills, and to be unapologetically themselves while making progress toward their goals. I can't wait to see how far you come! Reach out when you are ready.
My approach to helping my clients is nonjudgmental, strength-based, and curious. Through the use of several psychodynamic approaches and applied Jungian analysis, I am able to help clients transform their lives by exploring their self-concept and improving their self-esteem. I believe that a nonjudgmental approach helps us uncover painful patterns and past experiences while fostering sustainable self-reflection.
I'm Alicia Lambert, a Primary Clinician at Rockland Recovery. In my practice, I emphasize a compassionate, client-centered approach. I believe in creating a therapeutic environment that is both supportive and empowering, allowing individuals to explore their challenges in a safe and non-judgmental space. My training in Clinical, Counseling, and Applied Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University equips me with a diverse range of therapeutic techniques, which I tailor to meet the unique needs of each client. I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate their journey to recovery, focusing on building resilience, developing coping strategies, and fostering personal growth.
