Orange is a city in Orange County, California. It was founded as Richland by lawyers Andrew Glassell and Alfred Chapman in 1869. In 1875, the city was renamed Orange for its orange groves. Orange served as a citrus-packing center for many years before expanding its economy.

Orange has 140,500 inhabitants. The median age is 35 years old. The ethnic composition of the city is 46% white, 39% Hispanic, 11% Asian, and 1% black.
