As a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), I specialize in the treatment of anxiety using multiple approaches to recovery.
I help clients reconnect with their authentic selves. Together, we will identify and explore what is blocking you from living fully as the creative person you are. Past trauma, societal expectations, family dysfunction, and other harmful systems and “norms” may have caused you shame and disconnection from your true self and values, resulting in people-pleasing, perfectionism, anxiety, and other painful patterns that are no longer serving you. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), I’m very interested in who you are outside of these patterns, and I want to create space and possibility for who you are becoming.
If you’re finding yourself in frequent conflict with your partner or other important people in your life, it’s common to conclude that your partnership isn’t meant to be, that your conflict is due to a mismatch. However, conflict is an opportunity to grow into a deeper, more meaningful relationship. I partner with couples in ways to have difficult conversations in a nonreactive way, which helps you work toward solutions rather than enhancing the problem. My practice is designed to collaboratively deconstruct the culture and history that define you, to break down the origins of the values and beliefs that influence you as an adult. Together, we’ll examine the contents of your life, sift through the problems, and determine which values, beliefs, and meanings will be useful on your journey, and which should be discarded. Our sessions are structured to use intentional dialogue in order to provide a non-judgmental, positive, and collaborative understanding of what is important for the relationship and your healing and growth as a couple.
I love working with people who have complex, complicated pasts. We are indeed shaped by all that has happened to us. However, when we assess what happened and truly understand it (with a new, more informed perspective), we can choose how we want to move forward. I love supporting people with a big vision for the future. So often, life changing events can propel us toward helping others and making the most out of our own lives. As long as we can cope with the uncertainty and self-doubt that too often accompanies these big ideas, we have great opportunity to make an impact in the world. I love supporting my clients in honing their mindset, so they can approach work and life more effectively. When you don't address your blind spots, you can find yourself burned out, unable to leave your clients' concerns at the office, and having difficulty caring for pretty much anything. I find these conditions - compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma, and what I call Sacrificial Helping Syndrome (giving more than you have to the people you serve) - in a lot of professionals who help others.
Welcome. You may be considering therapy because something in your life is not working the way you want it to. Maybe you feel anxious or depressed, come from a difficult family, are too hard on yourself, are struggling in a relationship, or simply feel burdened without fully understanding why. Therapy can begin with two questions we do not have to answer in advance: What is happening, and what would life look like if things were better? I will not assume I already know either answer. I am a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I work collaboratively with adults, couples, and families through telehealth in California. My approach is strengths-based and grounded in a biopsychosocial framework, considering how physical wellbeing, thoughts and emotions, behavior, relationships, and life circumstances interact. I use practical strategies informed by Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I have a particular interest in men’s mental health and development, including emotional regulation, resilience, responsibility, meaning, and changing roles across adulthood. With couples, I draw from the Gottman Method to address communication, conflict, trust, and connection. With families, I draw from Structural Family Therapy concepts to explore relationships, roles, and boundaries. Together, we can identify patterns that may have taken hold, build on what is already working, and develop practical ways to respond differently. You define the direction; I provide clinical perspective, structure, and support.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, or stuck in repeating patterns that aren’t working, therapy can help you regain clarity and direction. For over 17 years, I’ve worked primarily with individuals facing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and relationship concerns. My approach is practical, supportive, and goal-oriented. Together, we identify what’s keeping you stuck, develop effective strategies, and build skills that create lasting change. I also work with couples who feel disconnected, defensive, or caught in cycles of conflict. In our work, partners learn how to communicate more directly, listen more effectively, and rebuild trust in a structured and productive way. My goal is for therapy to feel focused, collaborative, and results-driven — not just talking, but meaningful progress. I offer a free consultation so we can determine if we’re a good fit.
If you’ve landed here, you’re likely feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or just ready for something to shift, even if you can’t name exactly what yet. Maybe you’ve been carrying things silently for a long time, holding space for others but rarely for yourself. Maybe you’re navigating grief, trauma, or a deep sense of disconnection from your roots or identity. I want you to know you don’t have to go through it alone. As your therapist, I show up with presence, compassion, and curiosity. My approach is relational and collaborative; we move at your pace. I draw from trauma-informed, somatic, and culturally rooted practices that honor both your personal and generational story. I work with folks who are navigating life transitions, loss, identity, burnout, and the impact of trauma on mind, body, and spirit. Together, we’ll build a space where your pain can be held gently, your voice can grow stronger, and your healing can take root. I believe in the power of storytelling, ancestral wisdom, and inner resilience, and I’m here to walk alongside you on this journey.
You can’t bring yourself to face your past trauma. You’ve been to countless self-help programs and created a self-care routine, but the past still torments you. Deep down, there’s something you can’t confront, a darkness that won’t relent. You’ve been isolating yourself from your friends and family because you’re afraid you’ve become a burden. You feel alone, tired all the time, and annoyed at yourself for not being "over it." Sometimes, we need to look backward in order to move forward. I can be your guide, bringing over 20 years of experience helping people resolve past trauma. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California, I use dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), internal family systems (IFS), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, and psychodynamic treatment to help you explore why the past is still present for you. Through this exploration, we’ll find a new path forward. Find the path to peace you’ve been searching for. Learn how to build resilience and establish healthy connections with your loved ones. Call today for a free consultation so you can free yourself from the pain of the past and look forward to a better future.

I believe real, human connection is often what makes it possible to face even the most difficult, entrenched parts of life — and that through that connection, we can find clarity and build the resilience you desire going forward.
