Hi, I’m Marla, a psychotherapist with a past life as an artist, offering empathy, insight, and authenticity for seekers of self-discovery and transformation. A San Francisco therapist, I work with highly sensitive, creative, and gifted individuals from a psychodynamic, somatic, and relational perspective.
My work is grounded in depth psychology and intuitive presence. I’ve built my life around transforming pain into insight, so I can help others catalyze anxiety, trauma, addiction recovery, life transitions, and relationship challenges into meaningful change.
You don’t need to know where to start or even be able to find the words. Just show up. I’ll meet you where you are.
In session, I listen with my whole body, attuning to subtle shifts, sensations, and pauses that signal something meaningful — a deeper awareness that opens the way to clarity and healing.
As a therapist, my work is about depth, meaning, creativity, and transformation.
My best-fit clients are empaths and artists, writers and thinkers, people with creative spirits and analytical minds who often wonder if they are too sensitive, too intelligent, or too intense — haunted by the question: “Am I too much or not enough?”
If you’re ready to do the real work, this is it — raw, sacred, and transformative.
We’ll begin with you, one-on-one. Individual therapy with me is personal, relational, and empathic. Because each of us is also a multiplicity, the work may also evolve to include couples therapy, relationship therapy, or family therapy. As you heal, your relationships will, too. It’s a dynamic and beautiful phenomenon to behold when the benefits from personal therapy proliferate through an entire constellation of relationships and family systems.
With advanced training in trauma therapy, addiction treatment, and complex relational dynamics, I can help you disrupt old patterns, instill self-trust, and reclaim the parts of yourself that have been buried or exiled.
Come to release your burdens.
Come to reclaim your life.
As the founder of a boutique therapy practice in the Mission District at the intersection of Potrero Hill, Dogpatch, Mission Bay, and SoMa, I offer highly personalized therapy for privacy-conscious clients, ensuring focused, attuned attention and the utmost discretion.
In-person therapy in San Francisco is available alongside online therapy throughout California including the Bay Area, Marin, Palo Alto, and Los Angeles.
Therapy with me is irreverent, unapologetic, and full of soul. It's a place where you can finally tell the whole truth.
Let this be your invitation to take up space — in your life, your relationships, and your healing.
