Welcome, I'm Rachel! I work with women ages 15 and up from all walks of life, helping them navigate life’s challenges and reconnect with their true selves. Many of the women I support experience anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment wounds, people-pleasing, eating disorders, relationship struggles, body image or self-esteem concerns, and grief. I understand how heavy life can feel and how overwhelming it is when you don’t know where to turn. My goal is to offer a compassionate, grounding space where you feel seen, understood, and supported. With trauma-informed care-alongside EMDR, CBT, DBT, and mindfulness-I support you not only in processing emotions and exploring past experiences but also in building self-trust, strengthening communication and assertiveness, reducing perfectionism, setting healthy boundaries, cultivating self-compassion, and reconnecting with your identity, values, and sense of self. I meet you exactly where you are and guide you at a pace that feels safe and aligned. My work is deeply rooted in a whole-body, holistic approach. I believe our emotional health is shaped by our lifestyle rhythms, stress levels, movement patterns, sleep, nutrition awareness, and the overall mind-body connection. I help women understand how their bodies and minds communicate, including the impact of hormones on mood, the importance of nervous system regulation, and the value of somatic awareness. Whether you're navigating a life transition, burnout, relationship patterns, past trauma, or loss, I’m here to help you find clarity, confidence, and a deeper connection to yourself. I look forward to being part of your growth. * Virtual sessions are available for women in Virginia, Maryland, and Florida *

My approach to helping is grounded in compassion, respect, and a person-centered understanding of each individual’s unique experiences and needs. As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland, I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where individuals feel heard, valued, and empowered. Through collaboration, evidence-based practices, and a strengths-focused approach, I help individuals identify their strengths, overcome challenges, develop healthy coping strategies, and work toward meaningful and lasting change.
I believe in creating a safe and supportive environment that allows each person the freedom to experience and work through problems, develop solutions, and get constructive feedback at the same time. As a clinical psychologist and counselor with over 30 years of experience, my work with individuals and couples allows personal and relational strengths to become resources and tools for positive life changes.
Our approach is first and foremost to offer acceptance and understanding. Our clinicians have a variety of theoretical orientations and approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, attachment-based therapy, emotion-focused therapy, and interpersonal therapy. All of us have training and experience with a family systems approach to therapy and are able to integrate this into our work.
Hi, I’m glad you’re here. I’m an EMDR therapist who works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and trauma. Many of the people who come to see me are used to pushing through and handling things on their own, yet still feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected inside. You may understand logically that your past is over, but your body and emotions haven’t caught up. Therapy can be a place where that finally starts to shift. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps your brain process experiences that feel “frozen” in the nervous system. Instead of just talking about what happened, we help your mind and body fully digest it so memories become less intense and less intrusive. You won’t be pushed to share everything at once, and you won’t have to relive experiences before you feel ready. We focus first on building coping skills and a sense of safety so you feel grounded and in control throughout the process. I see therapy as collaborative. I won’t sit silently and leave you guessing — I’ll guide you, check in often, and adjust the pace based on what you need. My approach is warm, steady, and practical. Along with EMDR, I help you understand patterns, manage difficult emotions, and develop tools you can use in everyday life, especially during periods of change or uncertainty. People often start therapy during transitions: relationship changes, career shifts, loss, identity development, or simply realizing the ways they’ve been coping are no longer working. You don’t have to be in crisis to begin. If something in your life feels heavy, confusing, or hard to carry alone, that is reason enough. My goal is not to “fix” you. It’s to help you feel safer in your own mind and body, reduce the impact of painful experiences, and create more space for calm, connection, and choice in your life. If you’re considering therapy, I’d be honored to work with you.
Bridgette is a Resident in Counseling with two years of experience. She has worked with teens and adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, posttraumatic stress (PTSD), attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), and life transitions. Bridgette uses a client-centered approach to meet clients where they are, while offering a kind, safe, and gently challenging space to help them understand themselves and grow.
I help people change through developing a greater awareness for all of themselves, which allows them greater resources to deal with the struggles that they are experiencing. As clients develop greater awareness of themselves, including their wants, needs, emotions, and ways of relating to others, they tend to develop a wider range of choices in their lives. They learn to recognize what they do that keeps them from being their best selves. They also learn to tap into and use their own internal wisdom to help guide their choices, developing a greater authenticity in their lives. In relationships, couples and families develop greater intimacy and ability to use conflict to further their relationship through their greater awareness of themselves and their other family members. People I work with also learn with guidance and coaching to experiment with new ways of being with themselves and others in the world, which furthers their growth and development into more happy, fulfilled human beings. As an experienced psychotherapist and former graduate psychology professor, I have developed a wide range of expertise in helping others. I am honored and humbled by the courage and spirit of the people I work with and the struggles they face. I feel privileged to help people come to terms with pain, face challenges, and change their lives.
