What's My Approach to Therapy?
Therapy is most effective when clients feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood. My work is grounded in a warm, collaborative, and strengths-based approach that helps individuals and families make sense of their experiences and develop practical tools for managing daily challenges.
Extensive experience supporting adolescents, young adults, and parents has shaped a deep understanding of anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, and school-related stress. Years spent working within school settings have also provided insight into the academic, social, and emotional pressures that affect children, teens, and families.
Sessions focus on helping clients better understand their emotions, improve communication, and build coping strategies that are realistic and effective outside of therapy. When appropriate, family involvement is integrated to support meaningful and lasting change.
The goal of therapy is to create a calm, nonjudgmental space where clients can slow down, feel heard, and regain a sense of stability, confidence, and resilience.
