What's My Approach to Therapy?

Wake up, rushing to get ready, blink and it’s already the end of the day. Where did the time go? When did mundane and unfulfilling become words to describe your day-to-day? Life certainly won’t be perfect, but having a meaningful, self-assured direction can bring you peace and I want to help you find that peace. Hi, I’m Roshel. It’s okay to feel unsure or hesitant about this process; I welcome that part of you in. I’ll meet you exactly where you are, with compassion and care, as we gently explore the parts of yourself that may feel hard to understand. I hope our time together helps you find greater freedom, a deeper connection to yourself and others, and a sense of being at home in your own life. I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) and an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC). I support couples in building lasting communication skills, especially as they add a new baby to their family. I also specialize in supporting people navigating infertility, prenatal and pregnancy experiences, postpartum concerns and parenting topics. Not ready for a baby? No problem. I support individuals who want to break free from current barriers so they can thrive. This might look like career counseling, encouraging a new habit, or helping you work through anger or grief. I’m available to work with California residents.

My Role as a Therapist

I became a therapist because I am deeply moved by the courage it takes to turn inward and face what feels difficult or uncertain. I believe healing happens in connection?with ourselves and with others. It is an honor to witness people reclaim their power, release what no longer serves them, and move toward greater authenticity and ease. I would be honored to support you in this process.

My Guiding Ethical Principles

My work is grounded in a down-to-earth, culturally responsive approach that honors you as the expert of your own experience. I take your lead and thoughtfully integrate evidence-based practices to support what matters most to you. Together, we cultivate curiosity, creativity, and trust in the wisdom that can emerge through life?s challenges. You deserve to feel at home in your own life, and I?m here to support you in exploring what that means for you.
