My Approach to Therapy

Patty Linville is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia who has worked with the Army for the last 9 years, providing therapy for active-duty soldiers and their spouses. She has provided couples counseling, as well as support for retirees and veterans. The concerns she’s helped with include anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, codependency, and transitioning into the civilian world. Although much of her work has been with the military community, Patty has also worked in the private sector, supporting adults ages 22 to 70 with a range of mental health concerns. She helps people build mental wellness so they can improve their quality of life.

My Practice & Services

Patty says many clients have told her that her help comes from being authentic and genuine. They feel comfortable in her presence and recognize that she is there to help them meet their goals. Patty is direct, yet empathic and caring. She has confidence in her clinical skills, and clients pick up on that, which creates a therapeutic atmosphere of trust. The bottom line: without trust, there isn’t any therapeutic relationship. Patty is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia with many years of experience providing therapy to many people. She is goal-oriented and enjoys building therapeutic relationships with her clients. She also brings clinical skills that can help you build coping skills. Patty says she believes it is a privilege to be invited into your life and share your journey of wellness.
