What's My Approach to Therapy?
You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or unsure how to move forward. Maybe you're navigating trauma, disconnection, identity questions, or relationship challenges—and you’re ready for change, even if it feels a little scary.
At Eros Therapeutic, we meet you with care, curiosity, and respect. As a trauma-informed and affirming psychologist, I work collaboratively with individuals, couples, and other relationship structures to explore what’s getting in the way of healing or connection. You deserve a space where your full self is welcome—where your lived experience is honored, your pace respected, and your goals heard.
Therapy with me is grounded in consent, emotional safety, and practical, evidence-based approaches. Together, we make sense of your story, uncover patterns, and build strategies for change. Depending on your needs, we may draw from modalities like EMDR, cognitive processing work, or nervous system regulation—but we always move in partnership.
Whether you’re seeking relief, clarity, growth, or deeper connection, you’re not alone. I’d be honored to support you in the process.
My Practice & Services
My Approach to Supporting
If you’ve found yourself here, you may be feeling disconnected—from yourself, from others, or from the parts of you that once felt clear, grounded, or whole. Whether it’s the weight of trauma, shifts in identity, or the quiet ache of relational strain, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Therapy isn’t about fixing you—it’s about returning to yourself with compassion, curiosity, and courage.
At Eros Therapeutic, we offer trauma-informed, inclusive care for individuals, couples, and other relationship structures in Red Deer and across Alberta. My work is rooted in respect for your autonomy and lived experience. You set the pace; I walk beside you with clinical integrity, deep listening, and evidence-based guidance.
Sex Therapy
As one of the first clinicians in Central Alberta to offer dedicated sex therapy, this work is not just a specialty—it’s a passion. Many people carry shame, confusion, or silence around their sexual selves. Whether you're struggling with desire, pleasure, intimacy, sexual trauma, or identity, this is a place where you can bring all of yourself—without judgment. Sex therapy here is grounded in compassion, consent, and education. It’s about healing, but also reclaiming connection—to your body, your pleasure, and your wholeness.
Relationship & Couples Therapy
Relationships can be beautiful, complex, and challenging—sometimes all at once. In therapy, we explore communication, conflict, attachment, and intimacy within a safe, collaborative space. I work with couples and other relationship structures to help identify patterns, heal emotional wounds, and build deeper understanding. We won’t just talk about your relationship; we’ll work on it together—with curiosity, empathy, and tools that promote real change.
Trauma-Informed Therapy
Your nervous system remembers what your mind sometimes cannot. I specialize in working with people who have experienced trauma—whether from childhood, relationships, identity-based harm, or other distressing events. Using a trauma-informed lens, we move at a pace that honors your sense of safety and control. Therapy may include body-based regulation, narrative work, and evidence-based practices like EMDR, CPT, or CBCT, but the true foundation is trust. You lead; I help guide the way.
Gender-Affirming Therapy
Your identity deserves space to breathe. I offer affirming support for trans, non-binary, gender-diverse, and questioning individuals. Whether you're navigating transition, seeking emotional support, or unpacking internalized messages, gender-affirming therapy is about witnessing and validating your experience in full. You do not have to explain or defend your identity here—this is a space of celebration, safety, and support.
Individual Counseling
Sometimes the world feels too heavy, and it’s hard to untangle what’s yours and what’s not. In individual therapy, we work together to explore who you are—beyond the expectations, the trauma, the roles. Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, identity shifts, grief, burnout, or just a deep sense of stuckness, this is a space to reconnect with yourself. We use a whole-person approach that attends to the emotional, psychological, and relational parts of your experience.
You don’t have to do it all alone. Therapy at Eros Therapeutic isn’t a quick fix—it’s a space for meaningful, restorative change, grounded in human connection and clinical care. If this sounds like the kind of support you’re looking for, I’d be honored to meet you wherever you are.
My Role as a Therapist
My Role as a Therapist
My role is not to give you all the answers, but to help you uncover them within yourself with care, patience, and respect for your pace and experience.
As a therapist, I?m here to walk alongside you?not in front of you, and not behind you. I create a space that is steady, curious, and grounded, so you can safely explore the parts of yourself and your story that may feel overwhelming, complex, or unspoken. I offer structure and clinical skill, but also human connection. I show up authentically?because I believe that real healing happens when we can be real with each other.
You bring your insight, your survival, your questions, and your hope. I bring a trauma-informed, inclusive approach rooted in evidence-based methods, relational presence, and deep listening. Together, we navigate uncertainty, build capacity for self-trust, and work toward the kind of life and relationships that feel more aligned, embodied, and meaningful to you.
Whether you're here to process trauma, explore identity, strengthen relationships, or reconnect with your own voice?my role is to support you with compassion, clarity, and respect.

Had a Negative Therapy Experience?
Had a Negative Therapy Experience?
If you have had a negative or unhelpful experience with therapy in the past, you are not alone, and your hesitancy is valid. Therapy is deeply personal, and when trust is broken or you are not met with the care you deserve, it can leave a lasting impact.
At Eros Therapeutic, we understand that re-entering therapy after a difficult experience takes bravery. That is why we prioritize emotional safety, consent, and collaboration from the very first session. We will move at your pace. Your autonomy is respected, and your voice matters here.
Whether you felt misunderstood, judged, or simply not seen in a past therapeutic space, we want you to know that therapy can look and feel different. It can be affirming, grounding, and even transformative with the right support.
You deserve to feel safe in your healing. We are here to help rebuild that trust, one step at a time.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
Why Going to Therapy Does not Make You Weak or Flawed
Seeking therapy is not a sign of weakness. It is a sign of courage. It means you're willing to look inward, reflect deeply, and face what hurts in service of healing.
In a culture that often encourages us to suppress emotions or just push through, therapy is a radical act of self-respect. It is choosing to break cycles rather than repeat them. It is saying, I want more for myself and my relationships, even when it feels hard.
Many of the people we work with at Eros Therapeutic are strong, thoughtful, capable individuals. There are people who carry a lot, often quietly. Choosing therapy does not mean something is wrong with you. It means you are human. It means you have lived through things that deserve attention, care, and processing.
You do not need to have it all figured out. You do not need to be in crisis. And you certainly do not need to carry it all alone.
Therapy is a space to show up as you are; messy, uncertain, hopeful, hurting, healing. All of it is welcome. And none of it makes you broken.
