My Approach to Therapy

If you're here, chances are something in your life or relationship isn't working the way you hoped. Maybe you're feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or you're trying to make sense of a painful breakup. Maybe you and your partner keep having the same arguments, struggle to communicate, or feel more like roommates than teammates. Whatever brought you here, you don't have to figure it out alone. I believe therapy should fit you—not the other way around. There isn't a one-size-fits-all approach because every person, every relationship, and every story is different. When we work together, I'll take the time to understand your goals, your personality, and what you need from me. Some clients benefit from a warm, supportive space where they can process difficult emotions. Others want someone who will challenge them, keep them accountable, and help them create a clear change plan. I regularly check in with my clients about what's working and adjust my approach along the way. Whether we're working on healing after a breakup, managing anxiety, improving communication, or helping you feel unstuck and move forward with confidence, our sessions will be collaborative and focused on meaningful progress. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, strengthen your relationships, and build practical skills that continue to serve you long after therapy ends. You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin. If you're ready to make changes and want a therapist who will meet you where you are while helping you move toward where you want to be, I'd be honored to work with you.

My Practice & Services

I currently provide therapy through both Clarity Family Therapy and Matthews Family Counseling, allowing me to serve clients in a variety of settings. I also believe that quality mental health care should be accessible, which is why I'm a provider with Open Path Collective, offering reduced-fee, sliding-scale therapy for individuals who are uninsured or seeking more affordable care. If you're unsure which option is the best fit for your needs, I'm happy to help you explore what works best for your situation.

My Role as a Therapist

I see my role as more than just helping you work through challenges—it's about building a relationship where you feel safe, understood, and supported. I believe therapy works best when we have open, honest communication. I encourage feedback and regularly check in about what's working, what isn't, and how we can make our time together as meaningful as possible. My approach is flexible because every client is different. If you need someone to sit with you through difficult emotions, I'll meet you there. If you need accountability, practical strategies, or a more direct approach, I'm comfortable doing that too. Together, we'll find a style that fits you rather than trying to fit you into a specific approach. I also believe therapy is a partnership. If you're willing to put in the work, I will too. We'll face challenges together, celebrate progress together, and create a path that feels realistic and meaningful for your life. My role is to walk alongside you, offer guidance, and help you develop the tools and confidence to move toward the life and relationships you want. Therapy doesn't always have to be focused on solving a problem. Sometimes you need a space to process a difficult week, vent without judgment, celebrate a personal win, or talk through something that's been on your mind. Whether we're working toward a specific goal or simply taking time to debrief and reflect, I want our sessions to be a place where you can show up authentically and know you'll be met with curiosity, respect, and support.
