My Approach to Therapy

With 10 years of clinical, assessment and research experience and my lived experience as a person with multiple intersecting identities, I draw on these perspectives to bring context to what youre experiencing in our sessions. Increasing your capacity for self-reflection is foundational to my work. I place great emphasis on respect and transparency. Through our work together, my hope is that we move toward growth and empowerment while building skills to navigate the hardships you face in life. My theoretical orientation is integrative, with an insight-oriented psychodynamic and relational foundation. I also use interventions informed by cognitive behavioral approaches and intersectional and feminist theories. I incorporate the impact of family and institutional systems on mental health in our sessions.

My Practice & Services

Having a therapist who works collaboratively from a nonjudgmental, compassionate place makes a real difference. Its important to feel comfortable so you can engage in a meaningful, authentic way.
