In my approach, we work hard together to understand you, and direct and support you to make positive changes, which will help you enjoy your life more and feel more cared about by others. We work on insight and positive behavior change.
Supportive group therapy for relationship issues
Would you like to have more friends, colleagues, and potential partners? You do not do work on yourself alone, but with a small team, encouraging and supporting you as you learn to change relationship patterns. You learn how to improve your anxiety and depression, and you work towards having new, closer relationships. You learn to express your feelings, learn to be assertive, and to feel more positive and better connected to others. The group is effective and cost-efficient. Free 20-minute interview.
My Practice & Services
I have over 25 years of counseling experience. Insurance is not accepted, but I can help you apply for it.
My fee is $260 for individual counseling, $65-$95 for group psychotherapy.
Approaches: Interpersonal, client-centered, compassionate
Group: Interpersonal-Yalom. Clients improve self-confidence and relationships, and reduce anxiety and depression by being in the learning environment of group therapy. Working with a group of peers who care and support, encourage you, and give you feedback, is a very effective way of making life changes. In the group with the feedback and help of peers, you can learn and practice new relationship behavior and change relationship patterns. Joining a group is a very powerful experience where you develop closeness with others.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
Social Anxiety: I like to help people feel more at ease with others and develop closer relationships in which they feel special. I also work with issues like trauma or abuse from the past which are in the way and difficult and with people in abusive or difficult relationships which are current.
Codependency and abuse: I have worked with clients on these issues for many years whtich has given me the opportunity to gain a great deal of experience with these issues and to study the issues.
Self-esteem and self-confidence: I work actively to help clients improve their self-image, reduce self-criticism, and to participate in ways of thinking and life activities which enhance self-esteem.

The purpose of good psychotherapy is to provide compassionate intelligent listening and counseling so clients can understand their issues, work towards positive change and feel happier, more acceptance, and have more friends.
