My name is Melissa McKinney, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Doctorate in Applied Clinical Psychology based in Adel, Georgia. I work with clients 13 years and older, specializing in depression, anxiety, stress, and life transition issues. I primarily work with clients utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy in order to assist in identifying a life worth living and developing skills to obtain life goals and feel better overall. My therapeutic approach is very person-centered, and I adapt my approach based on the needs of each client. I work from a Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavior Therapy framework in order to assist my clients in gaining insight into their reality and underlying origins of behavior in an effort to work together to develop a clear course of treatment.
