My Approach to Therapy

I believe healing happens within safe, authentic relationships. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, understood, and accepted exactly as you are. Whether you're navigating trauma, anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck, I strive to meet you with warmth, curiosity, and compassion rather than judgment. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Florida, and my approach is integrative and tailored to each individual’s unique story. I draw from eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), somatic therapy, trauma-informed counseling, the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM), Adlerian therapy, expressive arts, and play therapy techniques to support healing on both emotional and physiological levels. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, I work collaboratively with clients to understand the deeper patterns that have developed through life experiences, while also helping build healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. I recognize that trauma is stored not only in our thoughts, but also in our bodies. By incorporating somatic approaches, mindfulness, creative expression, and nervous system regulation, I help clients develop greater awareness of their internal experiences while fostering resilience and self-compassion. Art and expressive techniques can offer another avenue for healing, especially when words alone don't fully capture what someone has been through. With children and adolescents, I utilize Adlerian play therapy to help young people communicate, process emotions, build confidence, strengthen relationships, and develop healthy coping skills through developmentally appropriate interventions. I believe play is a child's natural language, allowing meaningful healing to occur in ways that feel safe and engaging. My work is grounded in the belief that every person has inherent strengths and the capacity for growth. Therapy is not about "fixing" you; it's about helping you reconnect with your resilience, deepen your understanding of yourself, and move toward a life that feels more authentic, connected, and fulfilling. Together, we'll move at a pace that feels right for you, celebrating progress while honoring the courage it takes to begin the healing process.
