A big part of my job is to listen. I will actively listen to your concerns and confirm with you that I understand you correctly. I try to bring about a sense of calmness and ease in my sessions. My goal is to give you a safe space that allows you to speak freely.

I want to start off by saying kudos to you for putting yourself out here and looking for a therapist. Starting can be one of the hardest steps. My name is Maggie, and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I received my Bachelor of Psychology and Human Development from Virginia Tech and my Master of Social Work from VCU. I started my career and have extensive experience in hospital social work. During my time in the hospital, I was able to see how all aspects of our lives are connected. Our health, families, relationships, work/education, etc., are deeply rooted in one another. While this idea may sound intimidating, my goal is to show you how it can also bring about hope and change.
