What's My Approach to Therapy?

Every one of us faces challenges at different times in our lives. Taking that first step toward getting help is often the most difficult. I very much believe in the power of the human connection for resolution and healing. My philosophy and approach to helping others includes: to provide children, adolescents, and adults with a safe, caring, and compassionate environment in which to explore life's challenges; to conceptualize and understand each person's story within the context of their unique cultures and life history; to be fully attentive and present with all who seek help; and to walk with those on a journey of exploration, understanding, and problem-solving.

My Practice & Services

Most major insurance companies are accepted including but not limited to: Medicare Provider - BlueCrossBlueShield, Humana, Cigna, Magellan, Value Options, Aetna, Private Healthcare Systems, and Unicare. Please feel free to call our office with any questions.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I am trained by the EMDR Institute (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to provide EMDR psychotherapy to those who have suffered from traumatic or difficult experiences in life. This is an evidenced-based, highly effective treatment for PTSD as well as other concerns that may have left one feeling depressed, anxious, or hopeless, at times.
