What if we tried to be more understanding of others and kinder to ourselves? Take a step today towards and happier and healthier you tomorrow.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
Dr. Wright have been a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Texas since 2012, and completed her Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree in 2011 from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. She has worked with a variety of populations in many settings, including several psychiatric hospitals, an outpatient addiction center, a county mental health center, a juvenile department and runaway shelter, and a skilled nursing rehabilitation facility. She has targeted her training experiences to provide a well-rounded set of therapeutic skills to address many life issues. Dr. Wright founded Wright Wellness to create compassionate, collaborative, and accessible mental health services in the private practice setting.
Women's Issues:
The majority of her clinical research has focused primarily on women's issues, including the individual needs of women and their treatment outcomes. Because of her time devoted to this topic, she has a continued interest in working with women and their needs.
Mind and Body:
She also has a special interest in the relationship between the mind and the body, and believes overall wellness comes from both mental and physical health. Therefore, she also encourage the consideration of walk and talk therapy, a newer therapeutic approaches that involves walking during psychotherapy sessions, which incorporates the whole body. My Therapy Focus
Dr. Wright's theoretical orientation, or the way she approaches psychotherapy with her patients, is a combination of several evidence-based treatments, primarily Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). With these approaches, we will explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and how they might limit you, as well as build upon your individual strengths. She believes each person is different, and her focus is on your symptoms and goals, rather than a diagnostic label. She will work with you to best address your needs and overall wellness. We value innovation, learning, and growth, and are always working to provide the most current treatment services available.
