What's My Approach to Therapy?
If you’re reading this, you’re probably carrying more than you let people see. You may be holding everything together—your family, your emotions, your responsibilities—while quietly feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, or worn down on the inside.
You’re longing for relief, clarity, and a space where you don’t have to be “strong” for everyone else. You want someone who understands the weight you’re carrying and won’t judge you for feeling anxious, stuck, or unsure of what to do next.
I want you to know this: you don’t have to walk through this alone.
As your therapist, I’m here to move with you at your pace, offering compassion, respect, and practical tools that help you breathe again and begin to see hope where things once felt heavy.
My approach is warm, relational, and collaborative. When you sit with me, you can expect a safe, grounded space where you feel heard, supported, and gently guided toward growth. Together, we’ll explore what’s been weighing on you—your thoughts, emotions, patterns, and the parts of your story that have shaped your journey.
I work with individuals navigating emotional distress and major life changes, including anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, anger, and thoughts of hopelessness. We’ll focus on identifying your triggers, understanding your internal experiences, and developing personalized strategies to help you move forward.
I use a blended therapeutic style rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy, solution‑focused brief therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. This allows us to reframe unhelpful thoughts, reshape emotional responses, and build on your strengths so you can create meaningful, lasting change.
Through our work together, you’ll gain a clearer understanding of what’s happening inside you and develop healthier ways to cope, respond, and grow.
Your journey toward a more grounded, satisfying life can begin with a single phone call, email, or text. I’m here when you’re ready.
My Practice & Services
I am dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based, and culturally sensitive mental health support to individuals, families, and communities. I create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, build resilience, and move toward emotional, relational, and spiritual well-being. When the client desires, I also incorporate faith-based principles to support healing, meaning-making, and hope.
I offer a sliding scale to make therapy more affordable. I also provide online counseling with flexible evening and weekend hours, allowing clients to fit therapy into their busy lives without added stress.
Psychoeducation is a key part of my approach. I help clients understand what they’re experiencing—emotionally, cognitively, and behaviorally—and teach practical, evidence‑based strategies such as grounding skills, cognitive reframing, and communication tools that are integrated directly into their sessions.
Whether I am helping a client process loss, strengthen coping skills, rebuild confidence, or navigate a difficult season, my goal is always the same: to walk alongside them with empathy, clarity, and practical tools that support lasting change.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
Choosing therapy does not mean that you are weak or flawed. It reflects courage, self?awareness, and a willingness to grow. Reaching out for support shows that you value your well?being and are taking an active step toward healing and change. Therapy is a place to learn, understand yourself more deeply, and build the tools you need to move forward?not a sign that something is wrong with you, but a sign that you?re investing in yourself.
It's a powerful decision. You?re saying, ?I deserve to feel better, and I am ready to put in the effort to make that happen.?
Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance
A strong client?therapist alliance is among the strongest predictors of successful therapy. It?s important to understand that this is a partnership?we walk this journey of change and recovery together. My role is to guide, support, and advocate for you as you work toward your goals.
When clients feel safe, understood, and respected, they?re more willing to open up, explore difficult emotions, and try new skills. This relationship builds trust, encourages collaboration, and creates a stable space for healing.
Having a solid alliance with your therapist will help you stay engaged, feel empowered, and move toward meaningful, personal growth.
