Karen Charles, Licensed Professional Counselor

You have taken the first step towards your new journey. It takes courage to reach out for support and admit you need help. My name is Karen Charles and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. In addition to my state licensure, I have earned credentials as a Certified Master Addiction Counselor in the state of Georgia. I graduated from Thomas University in 2009 with a Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling and in 2004 with a Bachelors in Social Work. I have 17 years of experience working in a variety of settings including, community-based outpatient, female juvenile correctional facility, private practice, and male correctional facility. I am a member of the National Alliance on Mental Illness and the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of GA.

I create a safe space for individuals to share their thoughts and feelings about his/her current stressors. Providing a safe environment for individuals is vital to building a therapeutic rapport.
