My Approach to Helping
I believe that each of us has the capacity and desire to growth and change. Despite all the challenges and struggles we have endured in life, like what Virginia Satir said, "problems are not the problem: coping is the problem." Our responses to the events of life are more important than the events themselves.
Carl R. Rogers once said " The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination." It is my goal as a therapist to journey with my clients and to empower them to grow, change, and get through their life challenges and struggles, and move toward the direction of a good, beautiful and happy life.
Everyone deserved to be loved as who they are, and live to the fullness as they wish!
More Info About My Practice
I began professional training and involvement in counseling works since 2010. I am now a licensed and registered counselor with the Board of Counsellors, Malaysia (“LKM”). I have experience working with various populations in which some of them are highly sensitive communities such as LGBT and People living with HIV, as well as people who are highly suicidal. My therapy approaches are mainly grounded on Person-Centred & Gestalt Therapy, complimented with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and The Satir’s Personal Iceberg Model. I am also a certified administrator for PREPARE-ENRICH couple relationship assessment for pre-and post-marital.
In counseling sessions, I draw on a variety of counseling tools in helping people to relieve emotional distress, to foster self-understanding and self-awareness so that they can gain effective control over their lives.
My area of interest includes relationships counselling for couple, whether married or not, family and parenting conflicts, sexual health's concerns, such as sexuality, porn addiction and etc., self-acceptance, career coaching, and helping client in redirecting disturbing emotions (such as anxiety and depression) and empowered them to manage and overcome the difficulties that are hindering them in life.

How Psychotherapy Can Help
Everyone goes through challenging situations in life, and while you may have successfully navigated through other difficulties you have faced, you may benefit from extra support at this time.
By engaging in counselling, you are taking responsibility by accepting where you are in life and making a commitment to change the situation. Counselling provides you with a safe, confidential and supportive place to explore the difficulties you are facing in your life. It can provide long lasting benefits, giving you the self-knowledge and tools you need to avoid triggers, to change patterns that are not helpful for you and to support you in whatever challenges you face.
