My Approach to Therapy

I support people in building a strong foundation in recovery through practical skills, motivation, and lasting, real-life change. I specialize in addiction counseling and relapse prevention, supporting clients as they rebuild routines, confidence, and healthier coping. You can expect a down-to-earth, supportive approach that includes clear steps and honest feedback. Wherever you are in your recovery journey, you deserve support that feels genuine and pressure-free. If you’re looking for someone who understands the challenges, setbacks, and daily victories of the process, I’m here to walk alongside you. With 12 years of my own recovery, I know that healing is possible, and we do recover! When you’re ready, reach out and take that next step toward feeling more grounded and in control.

My Practice & Services

I am currently working via Telehealth through the Headway platform. If you are not already a member of Headway, don't worry! I can easily get you added with little effort from you! I offer lots of times on the weekend, early mornings, and nights for working individuals!

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

My personal recovery experience has shaped the way I show up for clients. I have over 12 years of sobriety and understand the realities of rebuilding life after addiction, including navigating child welfare systems and using medication-assisted treatment as part of recovery. These experiences give me a grounded, compassionate understanding of how complex recovery can be. I also bring insight from my own work healing from adoption-related trauma and abandonment. This has strengthened my ability to help clients explore identity, purpose, and meaning - which I believe are essential for lasting recovery. My approach focuses on meeting people where they are and supporting sustainable change, not perfection.

Groups I Work With

I have a strong background in substance-use counseling, trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and client-centered treatment. I’ve worked extensively with New Jersey’s DCPP and legal systems for the past 9 years, which helps me understand the unique pressures clients face when navigating complicated life circumstances. As well as those with a history of domestic violence, criminal justice offenders, and those who are just going through a tough time in life, where substances were or are the main coping skill. I am a huge supporter of Medication Assisted Treatment and using what works to help you gain and maintain sobriety, including 12 Step or other self-help groups.
